I am currently using an MR3020, and while researching, I came across this:

www.sahdan-blog.com/2012/04/membuat-ante...ernal-tl-mr3020.html

The translation is not perfect, but the picture is clear. It would be interesting to know if anyone has attempted this without hosing their box?]]>

So I've got what I think is a cool idea, I think you all in the community could make it even better.

Check out the TPLink TL-MR3020 www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-MR3020

Its very similar to the TL-WR703N with these differences:
- Its larger
- It has 5 LED's and a three-way switch
- Its easier to get a hold of in the US
- It runs about $40

So my thought is to use this as a platform for a new MiniPwner version. I believe with the three way switch it could be configured to have three different personalities that change just by changing the switch:
1. Traditional MiniPwner drop box. Wifi AP and DHCP on the wire.
2. Passive wireless monitor. Basically power it up and it launches kismet and logs any wifi traffic it can see.
3. Jasager/Wifi Pineapple mode. Performs WiFi AP spoofing and wireless MITM attacks.

I'd love your thoughts about other personalities or other improvements to try to wrap in. I think a web UI, mounting the FAT partition, and getting tutorials for SSH reverse tunnel and VPN session setups are some of the key things that could be added. Its not easy to open up the MR3020 but once you do I think there's plenty of space to mount an internal battery pack.

And we need to come up with a good name for the new version.

I gotten to step 23 (Type ifconfig wlan0 to check that your wireless settings came up. If you don't have a DHCP assigned address you'll need to troubleshoot your settings.) of the "Build One" instructions. My wireless network is MAC filtered, so I'm plugging the MiniPwner in using ethernet, and DHCP, and telnetting to it using the wireless interface with Backtrack 5. I can connect to it fine, but it will not connect to the internet.

Here are my ifconfig results:

I would like to be able to connect through the ethernet port to finish setting it up. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.]]>

Subject: MAKING a Web UI - by: Nexus http://www.lapooh.com/index.php/forum/7-hacks-and-enhancements/636-making-a-web-ui?limit=6&start=6#636 http://www.lapooh.com/index.php/forum/7-hacks-and-enhancements/636-making-a-web-ui?limit=6&start=6#636
I have seen the hostapd-karma port, which was very nicely done, But I was looking towards making a very own UI for MiniPwners, simmiliar to the Pineapple MkVI, Darren said "I just threw some php together that executes a command on the Pineapple", does that mean we could make our own Web UI, That could perhaps do the following:

  • Perform karma attacks
  • Read Router information of the home
  • Perform Aircrack operations???
  • And more...

If you're interested and can develop in PHP or have a good knowledge, please feel free to post your thoughts below:)

Thanks, Nexus]]>

The ethernet network I am testing does not use DHCP, how can I set a static IP on the eth0 interface in the minipwner?

Thanks in advance for you help]]>
